By afternoon, after a much needed nap, the snow had melted but the clouds have started to roll in. It may just repeat itself tomorrow. On the brighter side, we woke up to Sadie barking at a small herd of deer on our backyard. It was a pretty sight to see, no doubt. Moments like this remind me that this is a wonderful place to be.
And when you live at the foot of that huge mountain, with all that it offers the body, mind and soul...well, if there's such a thing as a a healing place then I would say that we're there.
Colter and I stopped at a lookout just before dropping down to the valley last month as we returned from a trip to Idaho Falls. He took this picture for me. It's a view that tells me I'm home.

I ready to be "home" too. The one time we were there in May, the weather was springlike. But from you "natives" I understand that waiting until late June to arrive is probably best. Meanwhile I'm ready to escape the Georgia heat and humidity.
