The whole house-buying process was a bit of an ordeal and in my bitterness, I didn't really feel like sending a Thank You card to the mortgage broker. Now that the dust has settled (kinda-sorta) on the move, I feel like I have a better appreciation of where were are and our "new life" in Victor.
Okay, so that's really only about 10 miles from where we used to live and it's not like we're starting over but it does feel like a new beginning. Technically, you could argue that it's "new to us"–right down to the kitchen sink and we're making good use of it so far.Right now, I'm sitting in my kitchen, listening to the sound of my dishwasher and writing this blog on my granite countertops. Yeah, I'd say that homeownership is pretty special. Even the nagging little fear I have about the state of the economy isn't dampening my urge to do the happy-dance.
Maybe I'll even send out a Thank You card.
